obviously I'm writing a blog instead of doing something more productive.
you know what is incredibly frustrating? being a senior in college and just now learning how to properly study. the learning curve is very steep when you're taking all 4000 and 5000 level courses. where was I freshman and sophomore years when I wasn't learning good study habits? I'm stuck trying to salvage my GPA by killing myself in upper level classes now after letting easy classes slide two years ago for dumb reasons (not going to class, caring more about Camp War Eagle/WEGP/my friends than school, etc.). although I'm being about 80% honest when I say that I don't regret that. I will always believe I learned more outside of the classroom than in it while at Auburn. but graduate school doesn't really care about that cliche too much. and maybe many other people don't either.
I feel like I have worked so much harder this semester than any other semester I've had. taking 17 hours of science courses does that to you, I guess. but in a lot of ways I feel like it isn't showing, and I'm starting to get reeeaaaaalll annoyed. the next 2 and half weeks are going to be literal hell. but after finals week is over, I will get on with my life. there will still be great jazz music to listen to (like this Frank Sinatra Pandora I have on right now omg fab), scrapbook projects and furniture painting to do, hopefully a beach trip, and OF COURSE my trip to the Outback (like in Australia, not the restaurant...) to take, and 20 years from now it won't matter what my GPA in Spring 2012 was. I have so much to look forward to, but as usual I'm bogged down in the worries I have to deal with at the present. luckily I have a cute little bunny rabbit/cat hybrid (she just came literally hopping up the stairs) to cheer me up whenever I need her. she definitely doesn't care what my grades look like as long as I feed her on command. why isn't everyone so easy to please??
